Support Projects
Real-world impact, real community change. Explore the projects we’ve delivered — rooted in compassion, built on need, and driven by community.

Making It Matter
Where care meets action — one project at a time.
At The Guardians Grow Charity, we believe that support isn’t one-size-fits-all. Our projects are designed to respond to real needs, in real time, with compassion, creativity, and care. From tackling isolation and crisis to spreading joy and hope, every project is a reflection of our values—and of the community we’re proud to stand beside.
We’re always open to collaboration, sponsorship, and new ideas. Want to get involved? Pop in, give us a ring on 07518 85 1184, or donate to help us keep making a difference.
The Robin Sticker Project

Let’s show how far our robin can fly —
carrying a message of hope to someone who feels they’ve lost theirs.
Because one robin can save a life.
Imagine what we can do together.
Be a part of a murmuration of hope —
a movement flying across the world, whispering:
You are not alone.

Robin Project Listeing Benches
The Robin Project Listening Benches —named after the robin, a symbol of hope in hard times—is all about connection and visibility. With £14,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund, we created a space for people struggling with isolation, mental health, or emotional distress to be heard.
Our “Listening Benches,” located in Abbey Gate Shopping Centre, are safe, welcoming spots where anyone can sit and chat with a trained volunteer. Robins and “hope” stickers placed around the area serve as visual reminders that no one is alone. Beyond the benches, the project equips volunteers with the training needed to offer empathetic, trauma-informed support and signposting, ensuring those in need feel seen and supported.

The Community Wardrobe
Bring what you no longer wear and share it with someone who needs it—your coat, your hat, your school uniform, or that warm jumper you don’t reach for anymore. At the Community Wardrobe, everyone is welcome to give and take. Your donations make a difference in someone’s life, offering comfort and dignity in times of need. It’s more than a place to hang a coat—it’s a circle of kindness that keeps us all connected.

The Giving Tree
Every day outside our store, the Giving Tree offers a simple, heartfelt way to support someone who needs a little extra kindness. Community members can take a tag from the tree—each one representing a wish or need in the local area—and choose to make it happen, whether it’s a small gift, a gesture of help, or a practical item. It’s a chance to show someone they’re seen and cared for, and to remind us all of the power of giving, no matter how small. Bring your wish back to the tree—or let it inspire you to find new ways to support others. The Wishing Tree is a daily invitation to connect, care, and share.

Cup of Kindness & Plate of Hope
At the heart of our community café is the Kindness Board—an opportunity to share warmth with those who need it most. When you buy yourself a drink or a meal, you can also buy a ‘Cup of Kindness’ or a ‘Plate of Hope’ for someone else. It’s a simple gesture that goes a long way: a hot meal, a warm drink, a reminder that no one is alone. Every act of giving on the Kindness Board brings hope and dignity to someone’s day, turning small kindnesses into a powerful ripple of care.

Santa’s Guardians
Christmas can be one of the hardest times of year, and at the heart of Santa’s Guardians is the belief that no one should feel alone or forgotten. Since 2021, Santa’s Guardians has grown from delivering gifts to children to supporting people of all ages—providing not just presents, but connection, dignity, and care. From hot Christmas dinners and heartfelt cards for those facing the day alone, to Santa’s visits at Margaret’s that help raise funds to support others, every part of this project says: you matter. You are not alone. Join us every year to help share love, warmth, and hope at Christmas.

Well in Winter Warm Hub
The Well-In-Winter Warm Hub has been part of our journey since the very beginning in 2016, born from simple acts of kindness like checking in on neighbours, clearing snowy doorsteps, and sharing cups of tea. Today, it’s a welcoming seasonal space where people can come to warm up, enjoy a nourishing meal, and find comfort in the company of others. From a community group to a charity, Well-In-Winter has grown and adapted alongside us, always rooted in the same purpose: to offer both physical and emotional warmth to those who need it most.

Home Safe Project
When safety is lost, the Home Safe Project steps in—supporting people escaping domestic abuse, exploitation, trafficking, and homelessness with essential items and urgent care. We know that when someone has fled with nothing, even small comforts matter: a warm blanket, a pair of shoes, a toy for a child who doesn’t understand what’s happened. Funded by the generosity of our community and championed by the Iris Project, Home Safe ensures that no one has to face crisis alone. We’re here to offer what’s needed—immediately and without red tape—because home means something different to everyone, but safety means everything.

The Work-Life Experience Project
At the heart of our Work-Life Experience Project is the belief that understanding grows through connection. We offer immersive work experience placements for adult students—medical students from Warwickshire Medical School, social work and care professional trainees, and others—who spend time at our Support Hub and Wellbeing Sanctuary. These placements allow them to learn first hand about trauma, neurodiversity, mental health challenges, homelessness, Domestic violence and marginalisation in a real community setting, meeting people where they are and seeing the impact of social prescribing. By fostering open conversations and collaborative learning, we build bridges between the third sector and healthcare systems, breaking down inequalities and showing that this work doesn’t just change lives—it saves them.

Coming Soon: Dave
Coming soon, our project “Dave” celebrates resilience and the power of belonging. Dave’s story is one of hope—how he went from living in a tent to finding a job and a home, supported by a place where he felt he belonged, could eat, laugh, and prepare for his interviews. Now, Dave wants to share how those simple moments of connection helped him find his feet again. By telling his story—alongside the challenges he faced with agencies along the way—he’s helping us to shine a light on the real barriers men like him face, and how small acts of care can make a world of difference. Watch this space as we work with Dave to build new pathways forward for those who feel unseen.
